Saint Louis University seeks a team member for clinical research in a neonatal intensive care unit. This role involves supporting study activities, conducting research tasks, and ensuring data accuracy for study protocols. This position involves clinical research in a neonatal intensive care unit hospital setting. This person will be engaged in job duties to ensure the smooth operation of study activities and that infants receive interventions and study procedures as specified. The candidate should have excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Under general direction, assists the research investigator by performing clinical research tasks, including, but not limited to completion of clinical research interventions on neonatal participants and communication with families regarding research-related tasks. This person will perform routine clinical research tasks for the study, set up and operate various clinical equipment such as placing EEG leads (after training), assist with research project data collection and database maintenance, and other duties as assigned. This study team member may provide training to support staff members and conduct other duties related to the primary study and other funded studies. The candidate should be able and willing to flex to tasks required for the primary and other funded studies as time allows.
Prior related clinical research experience in the NICU is preferred.
Job Duties
Prior related clinical research and experience with infants and/or neonates is preferred, but we are willing to train the successful applicant in the specific skills required.
