Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Laboratory Aide to perform waived and moderately complex tests and assist technologists in daily operations. The role includes sample handling, instrument support, and ensuring quality control procedures are followed under CLIA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderately complex testing as defined by CLIA.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs laboratory equipment within the scope of training including routine preventive maintenance, calibrations, and safety checks.
• Performs and records all quality control procedures.
• Evaluates the results of quality control and implements corrective action within scope of training.
• Keeps appropriate persons informed of instrument problems and resolutions.
• Provides support functions to technologists including the delivery of samples to the work area, loading of samples onto instruments and filing samples in the sample archiving system.
• Manage and maintain departmental supply ordering and inventory processes to prevent shortages and overstocking.
