Job Summary:

MedStar Health is currently seeking a PRN Clinical Dietitian II to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Center. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized nutrition care to patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. This position is PRN 1-3 days a week. During May 2025 - September 2025, up to 40 hours a week (availability and flexibility required). Saturday weekend rotation and some holiday coverage as needed.

Primary Duties

1. Conduct assessments for patients to establish diet and food guidelines.
2. Develop and implement an individualized plan for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with patients' medical needs, goals, and objectives.
3. Work in assigned Critical Care Units and General Medicine Floors, collaborating with the Food Service team to ensure conformance to diet prescriptions.
4. Assume other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and area.

Qualifications

1. Master's degree (M.S.) in Food and Nutrition with approved training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required if completed after January 1, 2024.
2. 5-7 years of progressive clinical nutrition experience required OR 3-4 years of clinical nutrition experience along with CDCES (Certified Diabetes Educator) or CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian/Clinician).
3. Licensed in the District of Columbia or eligible to apply for DC licensure required.

This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
