TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant PRN to join our Surgical Service team. You will work directly with surgeons in the operating room, scrub and assist during procedures, and support patient care before and after surgery.

We perform robotic, gynecology, general, thoracic, urology, spine and joint replacement surgeries, and offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• CST: Certified Surgical Technologist (required).
• BCLS/CPR within 30 days of start date.
• Certificate or Associate Degree is required.
• 1 year experience as Certified First Assist is required.

Responsabilités

• Communicate surgeon preferences and patient needs to the surgical team.
• Position patient to provide exposure for the procedure and surgeon preference.
• Provide intraoperative skills: visualization, trocar insertion, hemostasis, tissue handling.
• Use open, laparoscopic, and robotic equipment for procedures as needed.
• Perform suturing, clamping, cauterizing, dressing incisions and instrument handling.
• Close incisions with appropriate suturing techniques per surgeon preference.
• Apply dressings, manage patient transfer, and monitor for immediate complications.
• Collaborate with team to ensure continuity of care.
