Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for PRN shifts. You will assess respiratory needs, design and implement care plans, and operate ventilators for patients of all ages in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires Florida CRT licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP within 6 months. Excellent teamwork and meticulous documentation are essential to patient care and hospital records.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Florida DOH licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate respiratory needs and develop the Respiratory Care Plan for patients.
• Operate acute care ventilators for short and long-term ventilation.
• Set up and administer routine and complex respiratory therapies for patients of all ages.
• Maintain department and hospital records in the hospital computer system.
