Job summary

Clayton Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Clayton, NC is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). The role provides comprehensive patient treatment under supervision, with focus on progress documentation and coordination with the interdisciplinary rehab team.

The ideal candidate holds a BA or Associate degree in Occupational Therapy (AOTA-recognized) and an active state license/registration; SNF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program recognized by AOTA.
• Current license/registration in the state.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying suitable patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient progress daily, obtain OTR co-signature, and ensure MD orders for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements per state guidelines and participate in meetings as needed.
• Serve as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team and help schedule patients.
