Job Overview

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) supports the Occupational Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

Responsibilities

1. Direct Patient Care: Provide treatment to patients according to the established plan, maintaining productivity and effective time management.
2. Treatment Support: Implement intervention plans, assist with data collection, and execute resident screens.
3. Program Development: Participate in developing clinical programs and share best practices.
4. Monitoring: Observe residents' performance and report changes to the supervising therapist.
5. Documentation: Keep accurate records of resident progress, interventions, and evaluations in EMRs.
6. Education: Educate residents, families, and staff on techniques and exercises.
7. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with nursing and rehab staff, attend care plan meetings.
