Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in GA is required.
• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in GA is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered medications by various routes (oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal, rectal).
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 as directed.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler and perform finger-stick glucose testing.
• Document medication administration and any deviations per guidelines.
• Report unusual reactions to the health care provider and update resident records.
• Store and dispose of medications properly and provide routine patient care as needed.
