Job summary

Medical City Hospice & Family Care, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a PRN Certified Hospice Aide CNA to support patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will perform personal care, observe patient status, and document care provided to promote comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities include timely response to patient requests, communicating observations to the Hospice Director as needed, and maintaining respectful, confidential interactions with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Requires DL and HS diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• PRN/occasional shifts.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group, works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient, as necessary, to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. Responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.

What you will do in this role:

• Performs personal care needs for assigned patient(s) and attends to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Hospice Director or Director of Clinical Services immediately
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations; documents observations and care performed
• Provides patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
