Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South in St. Louis provides interim Occupational Therapy services as a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on day shifts.

You’ll work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to restore function and support healing for rehab patients at our 50-bed inpatient facility. We seek a licensed COTA with CPR certification who thrives in a team environment and is committed to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of an OT, provide COTA-driven OT modalities and treatment per plan.
• Communicate patient progress to the OT and interdisciplinary team.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on follow-through programs and home exercises.
• Document patient care accurately in records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain equipment and a clean, safe work area.
