Position: Certified Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist - Los Angeles, CA

Location: 300 World Way, Los Angeles, CA 90045

Schedule: PRN 8-hour shifts between 6am-9pm, up to 3 times per week until 9pm

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, starting at $33-$36/hr

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN Injury Prevention Specialist/ATC for an industrial setting. This is an onsite contract with a large airline at LAX. The team includes 7 full-time Certified Athletic Trainers and additional PRN staff. The center operates 7 days a week and functions as a hybrid fitness and OSHA First Aid location for airline employees. We recently moved into a new approx. 2000 sq. ft. facility with more space planned. This established program (over 10 years) is supported by all stakeholders. The patient demographic is diverse, aged 18-65+, with varied athletic and physical abilities. OSHA-mandated First Aid services address musculoskeletal issues, medical conditions, and acute trauma. The Injury Prevention Team also maintains ongoing preventative programs onsite, which the candidate will support. The full-time salaried WorkStrategies Specialist will also work one day per week at the nearby 4000 sq. ft. Select-Los Angeles PT Clinic, performing testing and assisting with operations. The candidate reports to the Site Supervisor, with support from AT Leads as needed. 1-2 years of AT experience is recommended due to case volume and complexity. Responsibilities

• Provide onsite coverage for the industrial client under the direction of the Account/Program Manager
• Deliver comprehensive Onsite Injury Prevention Services, including:
  • Assessment, triage, and first aid for workplace injuries/discomfort
  • Ergonomic risk assessment and solutions implementation
  • Design and conduct functional assessments, preventative exercises, and stretching programs
  • Job coaching and behavior modification in individual and group settings
  • Educate and train on injury prevention topics
  • Office ergonomics consulting
  • Health and wellness consultations
• Document and report employee encounters
• Maintain regular communication with the client and Select leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC)
• Eligible for state licensure
• Minimum one year of experience; industrial setting experience preferred
• CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
