Responsibilities

The Home and Community Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers.
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or manager.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.
• Help with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License and Certification Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• KY, OH, MO, NC: No additional requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home situations.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Additional KY Requirements

• Complete aide training and competency evaluation.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
