Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care, oral hygiene, nail care, skin care, and transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, bedpan, or toilet).
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during work-related travel.
• Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• At least six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• KY: No additional requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work independently in any home situation, regardless of age, race, creed, gender, disability, or financial condition.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
