Job summary

Right at Home is seeking PRN Caregivers in the Houston area to provide in-home care for seniors and adults with disabilities. You’ll work one-off, last-minute, or temporary schedules based on availability, matching you with shifts that fit your week.

Qualifications

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate.
• Two years experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities).
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene (toiletting, bathing, mouth care, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving.
• Assist with light housekeeping and other household tasks.
• Prepare simple meals and navigate kitchen during shifts.

We're looking for PRN Caregivers who want to work one-off, last-minute, or temporary schedules. You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

Must Haves:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate

• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home
