SYNERGY HomeCare Franchising, LLC is seeking compassionate PRN Caregivers (Shift Officers) to join our growing Texas team. This role supports clients in their homes, covering flexible shifts, and ensuring continuity of care.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills. CNA preferred but not required; background check is required. Join a friendly, professional team dedicated to helping clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or home care experience required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Flexible availability, including weekends or evenings when needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different client environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home care to clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Medication reminders.
• Transportation and errands, if needed.
• Accurately document client care and report concerns.
• Be available for flexible scheduling and last-minute shift coverage.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent communication with clients, families, and office staff.

Shift Officers play an important role in ensuring continuity of care by filling open shifts, assisting with urgent coverage needs, and providing high-quality support to our clients in their homes.

  • Dressing

  • Grooming

  • Toileting

  • Mobility assistance

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Medication reminders

• Transportation and errands, if needed

• Accurately document client care and report concerns

• Be available for flexible scheduling and occasional last-minute shift coverage

• Maintain professionalism and excellent communication with clients, families, and office staff
