Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a PRN Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school events and activities at Holy Cross Academy. This role supports a faith-centered environment and requires a CDL with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include timely transportation, adherence to safety protocols, and clear communication with staff. Candidates must pass background and health screenings and demonstrate strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements required.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet all Archdiocesan and state driving requirements.
• Previous experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and safe environment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school-related activities, including field trips, athletic events, and extracurricular programs.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Archdiocesan transportation guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Maintain order and appropriate student behavior while on the bus.
• Communicate effectively with school staff regarding schedules, routes, and any transportation concerns.
• Ensure accurate attendance and student accountability during transport.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly according to school procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
• Provide a welcoming and respectful environment for all students.

Job Summary

The PRN Bus Driver at Holy Cross Academy provides safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students on an as-needed (PRN) basis. This role supports the school’s mission by ensuring student safety while transporting to and from school events, field trips, and activities in a manner consistent with a positive and faith-centered environment.
