Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Substitute Teacher at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School to provide classroom instruction, supervision, and support in the absence of the regular teacher. The Substitute Teacher supports the Catholic mission, serves as a positive role model, and maintains a safe, orderly learning environment while following lesson plans and school policies.

Availability from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with students and staff.
• Proficient with classroom technology and Smart Boards.
• Willingness to work varied supervision duties.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, orderly classroom environment.
• Supervise students during the school day.
• Use Smart Boards and other tech to support curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with staff and administration.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
