Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare in Minnesota seeks a Master’s level Behavioral Health Specialist to join the PRN pool in Anoka. You will screen detainees for behavioral health needs referred by facility staff and provide psychoeducation and skills-based interventions under supervision.

Coordinate with custody and medical teams for treatment, monitor progress, complete documentation, and support discharge planning with county services. CPR certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Behavioral/Social Science required.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained.
• Current licensure with clinical specialty preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified during booking or nursing intake.
• Provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions under supervision.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health for referred detainees.
• Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
• Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
• Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning.
