River Point Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., seeks a PRN Intake Counselor to perform admissions assessments and coordinate the admissions workflow in the Jacksonville area.
The role involves handling inquiry calls, communicating with referral sources, and triaging mental health status to inform physician-level care decisions, while ensuring proper documentation in Med Series 4.
We are pleased to announce the following available position: PRN INTAKE COUNSELOR
The primary responsible for an Admissions Clinician is performing all aspects of the assessment and admissions processes in the Admissions Department. Additional responsibilities include efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of, and communication with referral sources; providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies and professionals; making outside referrals, when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individuals’ mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to the physician; identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staffing and admitting physician when necessary; documenting all required information in Med Series 4.
