Job summary

West Virginia University Health System seeks a full-time Emergency Medicine physician to join our team in the North Region, including Wheeling and surrounding hospitals. The role offers opportunities to practice in diverse settings with an academic affiliation to WVU's School of Medicine.

Candidates must hold an MD, MD/PhD, or DO and be eligible for licensure in West Virginia; residency in Emergency Medicine completed and ABMS board eligibility/certification preferred.

Qualifications

• MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (foreign-equivalents accepted) and eligible for license.
• Completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible by ABMS.

Responsibilities

• Practice community emergency medicine across multiple sites.
• Travel within the North Region to Wheeling, Renyolds, Wetzel, Barnesville, and Harrison Hospitals.

This position is part of the Acute Resource Group (ARG) within WVUHS. This position requires travel within the North Region to the following locations: Wheeling; Renyolds; Wetzel; Barnesville; and Harrison Hospitals.

Practice community emergency medicine, with the right people, for the right reasons.The Department of Emergency Medicine has over 100 full-time members across diverse practice sites. There are additional career opportunities for Emergency Medicine physicians looking for a variety of clinical experiences anchored by an academic affiliation to WVU's School of Medicine.

Qualified applicants must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited residency program and be board-certified or board-eligible via a recognized board within ABMS.
