Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Liberty, MO is seeking a PRN Anesthesia Service Coordinator to coordinate all logistics for the Anesthesiology Department. You will manage inventory, par levels, and equipment, and support procedural services with supply and cost-control initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in a surgery clinical setting, the ability to coordinate with vendors, and knowledge of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Part-time PRN; hospital environment in Liberty.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a surgery clinical role, preferably as a scrub tech or anesthesia tech.
• Experience with supply chain management and systems analysis is preferred.
• Associates degree or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orders and maintains anesthesia inventory levels in the department.
• Identifies substitutes for backordered items.
• Maintains supplies for trauma, difficult airway, and lung carts.
• Coordinates with reps, purchasing, and central supply on new supplies and changes.
• Identifies potential cost savings in the anesthesia department.
• assists with IV/invasive line setup and placement as needed.
• Assists with difficult intubations and critical transports.
• Maintains anesthesia areas and equipment cleanliness and infection control.
