Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking an Anesthesia Equipment Tech for the Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale. This in-person, PRN role supports the OR with equipment acquisition, preparation and maintenance for anesthesia delivery.

The technician ensures readiness of machines, monitors and related devices for routine and complex cases. You will collaborate with anesthesia providers, Biomed and vendors, coordinate preventative maintenance and assist in equipment-related crises to maintain high patient safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates in healthcare, electronics or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years anesthesia tech, equipment tech or surgical technician/technologist preferred.
• BLS Certification - Required
• Stealth Certification - Required
• ASATT/Anesthesia Technician Certification preferred (not required)
• AAMI Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates, assesses, coordinates, calibrates and maintains department equipment.
• Assists anesthesia providers with equipment acquisition, preparation and application.
• Prepares patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
• Maintains equipment inventory in collaboration with Biomed.
• Coordinates maintenance with vendors and other technicians.
• Responds to emergencies involving equipment and ensures clinical capability is restored quickly.
