Job summary

University Hospitals in Parma, OH is seeking a PRN Aide for Inpatient Physical Therapy to assist the rehab team with patient transport, care activities, set-up and clerical duties as needed.

The role supports physical and occupational therapy staff, adheres to PHI and UH policies, and covers weekends/holidays as needed. Requires high school diploma or GED; prior CNA or related health-care experience preferred; strong time management and interpersonal skills.

PRN Aide Rehab Parma Inpatient Physical Therapy - ( 260008WR )

• Assists Rehab Staff with patient transport, care activities, set-up, clean-up and clerical duties to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities
• Assist physical therapist/occupational therapist directly with patient care
• Departmental support and maintenance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
• Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
• The patient population in inpatient adults.
• This PRN position will cover for UH employees who are on PTO, LOA, and staffing shortages in the department, weekends and holidays.
• High School Equivalent / GED required.
• Previous experience as nursing assistant or related area in a health care facility preferred.
• Able to understand all verbal and written communication instructions; able to record specific simple data required proficiency.
• Good time management and interpersonal skills required proficiency.
• Physically, cognitively and perceptually able to provide patient treatment and able to assist in physical mobility of patients and equipment required proficiency.
