Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at Magnolia Regional Health Center located in Corinth, MS. We are currently recruiting for a PRN Staff Pharmacist to work as needed during facility hours, with day and evening shifts and potential overnight coverage.

The role requires a PharmD or Bachelor's in Pharmacy, Mississippi license, hospital pharmacy experience preferred, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Mississippi.
• In-patient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity for handling medications and supplies.
• Computer savvy to operate multiple pharmacy information systems.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and check drug/dose using the pharmacy information system.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure compliant operations.
• Adjust dosages per established protocols and support antimicrobial stewardship.
• Educate patients on medication use and expectations.
• Manage narcotics and inventory control with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with Nurses and Physicians to verify orders and gather information.
• Assist the Pharmacy Director with accreditation and system/process updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
