Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington in Arlington, TX is seeking a PRN Activity Therapist to design and implement therapeutic recreation programs that support patients' recovery through meaningful activities.

You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, lead group sessions, and provide individualized interventions while applying de-escalation and BLS protocols. This role offers PRN evening/holiday shifts with growth opportunities in a dynamic behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• De-escalation Training: Handle with Care (HWC) certification.
• Knowledge of psychiatric care and mental illness.
• Strong group facilitation skills.
• Excellent documentation abilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and holidays.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Programming

• Plan and implement therapeutic recreation programs
• Conduct psychosocial and leisure skills assessments

Treatment Team Collaboration

• Participate as active member of interdisciplinary treatment team

Therapeutic Leadership

• Model appropriate behaviors and interactions

Required Qualifications

Compensation & Schedule

Salary

• $16-18 per hour

Schedule

• PRN opportunities available!
• Weekday evening shiftavailable:Monday- Friday/ 3:00pm-7:00pm
• Weekend shifts available: Friday - Monday/ 8:00am-4:30pm
