Job summary

River Point Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, seeks a PRN Activity Therapist in Jacksonville, FL. The role plans and conducts recreation therapy for all patients and coordinates scheduling and programming.

Group and individual assessments for behavioral health inpatients will be provided across all ages. Candidate should have a four-year degree in Recreation or related field; CTRS or similar credentials preferred, with potential for professional growth within UHS and

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (CTRT) preferred or meets requirements to be certified.
• CTRS preferred; other applicable certifications such as Art Therapist, Yoga Instructor or Music Therapist are considered.

The Activity Therapist plans and conducts varied group and individual recreation therapy for all patients. Additionally, the Activity Therapist helps coordinate scheduling and programming, Provides groups and AT assessments for behavioral health inpatient clients all ages

Qualifications

A four year degree in Recreation or related field preferred. Preferably certified through National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or meets requirements to be certified. Prefer Art Therapist, Yoga Instructor or Music Therapist.

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (CTRS) preferred.
