Job summary

Fortress Investment Group is seeking a Sales Associate in the Credit and Real Estate Business Capital Formation Group in New York to support an external sales team and manage internal sales processes for current and prospective investors, including PWM relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of alt investments sales experience (to wire houses, regional brokers, and RIAs), a bachelor’s degree, strong CRM, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree from a top university with a strong academic record.
• At least 2 - 3 years of alternative investment sales experience to wire house, regional/independent broker dealers and RIA.
• Prior work experience in Private Wealth Management a plus.
• An understanding of broad financial markets and indices.
• Advanced proficiency in CRM systems focused on alternative investments.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and desire to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support external sales team member for their respective region/territory.
• Make proactive daily sales calls to existing and prospective investors to strengthen the firm’s relationship and build brand awareness within PWM.
• Sourcing new leads and relationships within the RIA and regional/independent broker dealer community.
• Answering inbound requests from current and prospective investors and coordinating response with their external team member.
• Work closely with their external sales team member to develop business plan to generate and maximize sales within the territory.
• Work closely with IR team to manage and develop CRM system focused on PWM to maximize sales and generate sales reporting.
• Assist with administrative needs when appropriate.
