Job summary

Jewish Community Center Association of Indianapolis Inc. is seeking Private Swim Instructors to teach private and semi-private lessons for children and adults, scheduling lessons directly with participants and promoting water safety.

You will work with participants to set and achieve goals, and model the JCC service standards of respect, gratitude, communication, the Golden Rule, and accountability. Qualified candidates have swim coaching or teaching experience, the ability to follow emergency

Qualifications

• Experience in swim coaching or teaching.
• Ability to follow an emergency action plan.
• CPR/AED and first-aid certification.
• Friendly, professional, patient and empathetic.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Teach private & semi-private lessons (children and adults).

Work Schedule

Variable including afternoons, evenings and weekends

Exposure to chlorinated water of varying temperatures, outdoor weather elements including high temperatures and bright sunlight, wind, light rain. Must be able to visionally see and hear swimmers and tolerate noise. Must be able to enter/exit pool using ladder and lift up to 50 lbs (and/or assist with lifting greater weights).
