Private Pilot (Fixed and Rotary Wing) for UHNWI

Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor

(1) Daily rate is paid daily, regardless of days actually flown (estimated to average 10-14 days per month)
(2) Per diem for food expenses will vary based on location
(3) Covered expenses include travel and lodging

Employer is a US private security company seeking private pilots to support an American ultra-high net worth client who frequently travels within and outside the US on a privately-owned fleet of aircraft. The client has an existing captain and flight crew but is seeking to augment this team with an experienced former military aviator due to threats/targeting incidents during the client’s travels. Employer is only considering candidates with former military aviation experience and certain law enforcement or other specialized aviators who have extensive experience flying in high-threat areas and conditions. Candidates who only possess civilian aviation experience will not be considered – please do not apply.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Pilots will be required to fly the following airframes:
    › Citation X
    › King Air 360
    › Learjet 25
    › Gulfstream 550
    › Global 6000
    › Sikorsky S-76
  2. Lead and take part in all pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight responsibilities
  3. Coordinate with FBOs, in-flight catering services, customs officials during international return trips, fuel and maintenance techs, along with any mission-related ad hoc duties that may be required
  4. Collaborate with employer’s intelligence chief on threat assessments and intelligence briefings to the client and air crew
  5. Make recommendations on air security measures based on intelligence gathered
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact between the assigned executive protection team and air operations for the client
  7. Occasionally coordinate charter flights outside of the US
  8. Work shifts in compliance with FAA regulations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (please do not apply if you do not meet ALL of the following):

  1. Must have extensive experience flying some or all of the aircraft owned by the Client or have extensive experience flying comparable airframes
  2. Possess a current US pilot’s license (at a minimum must have a commercial pilot certificate)
  3. Former military aviator OR law enforcement/other agency aviator with experience piloting both fixed and rotary wing airframes
  4. Have experience flying in a combat environment or other known hostile areas
  5. DD-214 with Honorable Discharge (if prior military)
  6. Must be physically fit and able to pass a physical fitness test
  7. Must be able to occasionally run or sprint, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Previously served in one of the following aviation units: AFSOC, 160th SOAR, NSW-HSC-85, MC-SOA, 89th Airlift Wing, 24th STS
  2. Have prior experience working with UHNWIs
  3. Have prior executive protection/protective security experience
