About this role:

In this role you will:
- Participate in soliciting residential mortgages from various sources
- Produce high quality jumbo loans which are compliant and provide excellent customer service
- Build relationships focused on affluent borrowers with realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank stores, past customers, and other non-traditional sources
- Develop and maintain a high visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace; stay informed of mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market
- Present recommendations for producing loans and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of and adherence to Private Mortgage Banking Sales policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and transactions
- Receive customer applications, quote rates and points, complete follow-up activities, analyze and offer mortgage loan products based on client needs
- Review and analyze financial and credit data; match customer needs with appropriate loan programs and risk levels
- Inform customers of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, rates, policies, and procedures; ensure timely communication to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Pursue Wells Fargo training to increase product and policy knowledge
- This SAFE position involves customer contact and duties including offering/negotiating terms and taking applications, requiring compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Ongoing employment depends on meeting these requirements, including background checks.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education
Desired Qualifications:
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Documented retail mortgage fundings from established sources in the past 12 months
- Excellent communication skills
- Mortgage industry experience
- Knowledge of sales prospecting and generating referrals
- Customer service experience
- Experience working with high net-worth clients
Job Expectations:
- Must complete SAFE registration upon employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process. The process involves the MU4R questions on the NMLS website.
- Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) qualification requirements for Loan Originators, including financial responsibility, character, and background standards. A credit report will be used for assessment.

- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
