Job summary

Advantage Solutions is seeking an Associate Business Manager to help develop and execute marketing plans for private label products in the Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach areas. You will analyze sales trends, manage product development, and support supplier and retailer relationships to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in account or brand management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Conflict management, decision‑making, and prioritizing skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, and web browsers.

Responsibilities

• Support private label products and categories through marketing plans, promotions, advertising, displays, merchandising strategies, inventory forecasting, and category support.
• Assist with new product development from ideation to shelf.
• Perform trend and sales data analysis to aid the Business Manager.
• Maintain routine interactions with suppliers/customers under supervision.
• Communicate cost increases and related information with limited negotiating authority.
• Collaborate with suppliers, retailers, and internal teams to launch new items and reformulate products.
• Manage client relationships within the retailer Private Label/Own Brand team and understand priorities.
• Negotiate brokerage rates, manage contracts, and negotiate pricing.
• Drive projects through project management processes, identifying risks and solutions.
• Advise the Business Manager on roadblocks and solutions.
• Support new business development and collaborate on client relationships.
• Provide guidance to colleagues as needed.
