Job summary

White & Case LLP seeks a junior to mid-level Associate for its Investment Funds practice in New York, focusing on private funds and institutional investors. You will work on fund formation, primary and secondary investments, and related regulatory matters with leading sponsors and global investors.

The successful candidate will handle sophisticated domestic and cross-border mandates, including structuring and documenting private funds, and advising on investments into funds, while collaborating

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar in good standing.
• 3–6 years of private funds and investment management experience.
• Experience with private fund formation and institutional investments.
• Understanding of regulatory and cross-border matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise investment managers on fund formation and capital-raising activities; draft fund documents and side letters.
• Assist with GP stakes transactions and structuring investment management firms.
• Advise on secondary interests and private asset portfolios.
• Advise institutional investors on private funds and co-investments.
• Take ownership of transaction drafting and coordinating with partners and clients.
• Contribute to investment management-adjacent M&A and cross-border deals.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, regulatory, IP and M&A teams to provide integrated solutions.
• Develop into a trusted advisor with strong commercial and legal understanding.
