Job Overview:

A prominent law firm based in New York City, NY is seeking a mid-level attorney with demonstrated expertise in private investment funds and asset management. This opportunity allows legal professionals to work on high-profile fund formation matters and advise a diverse array of institutional clients.

Duties:
  1. Advise asset managers on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds across a broad spectrum of asset classes
  2. Draft and negotiate offering documents, partnership agreements, side letters, and related fund documentation
  3. Guide regulatory compliance and legal obligations related to investment management activities
  4. Support clients in secondary transactions, fund restructurings, co-investments, and other complex transactions
  5. Coordinate with tax, ERISA, and other specialty teams on multi-disciplinary matters
  6. Maintain strong client relationships and play an active role in business development initiatives
Requirements:
  1. 4-6 years of post-JD experience working on private fund formation and management
  2. Experience with both domestic and international fund structures
