Job Description:

As an Operations Manager in Crowe’s Performance Improvement department within the Strategy & Transaction Advisory practice, you will lead clients through operational excellence and performance improvement initiatives within portfolio companies, focusing on EBITDA, synergies, and enterprise value capture.

Essential Skills & Responsibilities:
  • Engage with private equity firms and corporate leaders to analyze and implement value-creation strategies and operational improvements.
  • Work directly with client teams to identify synergies and functional solutions; execute deal strategies and performance improvements.
  • Use a holistic approach to identify improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and manage initiatives, including resource identification.
  • Create professional communication materials, including executive-level deliverables for decision-makers.
  • Deliver results in a visible client-facing role, possibly internationally.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Performance Improvement tools to boost productivity.
  • Adapt quickly, work independently, and embrace new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields; Master’s preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in operations management, including manufacturing, operations strategy, footprint optimization, supply chain, or SIOP.
  • Experience with Private Equity clients or M&A deals, especially in Manufacturing & Distribution, is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and build consensus.
  • Experience assessing manufacturing/distribution operations and implementing productivity and cost reductions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with high proficiency in MS Excel; Power BI or Tableau experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership skills to foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel 80-100%.
  • Preferred locations include Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Nashville, TN; Boston, MA.

The salary range for this role is approximately $111,600 to $215,300 annually, dependent on skills, experience, and location.
