Job summary

26North is seeking a Vice President to be the operational and financial backbone of its newly launched private equity business. You will partner with the COO/CFO, drive non-investment infrastructure, and own processes from deal execution to financial reporting.

The role demands ownership, built processes where none exist, and fluency in fund mechanics (waterfalls, capital calls, distributions, MOIC/IRR). A builder mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience across operations, finance and/or fund accounting.
• Experience at private equity or alt-asset manager preferred.
• Strong operator orientation with process-building experience.
• Knowledge of fund math: waterfalls, carried interest, capital calls & distributions, mgmt fee, MOIC, IRR.

Responsibilities

• Run investment process alongside deal teams: pipeline, calendar, diligence, approvals and closing checklists.
• Monitor allocations, deployment pacing, and portfolio construction against fund mandate.
• Own operating cadence: budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and fund reporting.
• Develop tech for portfolio monitoring and KPI reporting; prepare LP materials.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, Investor Relations to support the new strategy.
• Interface with fund accounting: capital calls, distributions, NAV, valuations, waterfall calculations.
