Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking a Corporate Accountant (Private Equity) in New York, NY. This role focuses on month-end close, account reconciliations, expense allocations, budgeting, and financial analysis within an investment management environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of private equity or asset management structures. Hybrid schedule with thoughtful controls will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of general, corporate, or public accounting experience, preferably in private equity or asset management.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with NetSuite/ERP systems preferred.
• Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Accounting: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals for monthly/quarterly close.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with management company financial statements and departmental reporting.
• Expense Allocations: Prepare/ reconcile expense allocations and intercompany transactions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgeting and variance analysis.
• Audit & Compliance: Prepare audit schedules and maintain supporting documentation.
• Accounting Operations: Support cash transactions, accounts payable, and process improvements.
