Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a meticulous financial analyst to support CFO services for private equity portfolio companies. You will collect, validate and analyze data to produce reliable insights and presentations for client leadership.

In this role, you will develop tools and templates, build integrated financial models in Excel, and present findings with PowerPoint. Collaboration with teammates and attention to accuracy are essential to deliver value.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited 4‑year college/university with educational concentration in relevant areas (accounting, finance, economics) preferred but not required.
2–4 years of experience related to: Accounting / Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking or Private Equity.
Experience in building integrated financial models and have strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

Identify, request, and process relevant data and information to complete fact‑based analyses.
Validate all data used in calculations, reconcile models and reports individually and in aggregate.
Think critically, apply rules to independently produce accurate and reliable analyses.
Compile findings into cogent and digestible spreadsheet templates and presentation slides.
Execute operational tasks independently (e.g., development of tools/templates, slide deck development).
Quality check one’s own work product to ensure clarity and accuracy.
