Job summary

Selby Jennings is working with an infrastructure-focused private equity firm to hire an Associate or Senior Associate who will impact the growing firm. You will work with senior investment professionals across the lifecycle from sourcing to execution and portfolio management.

You will evaluate opportunities, build models, participate in due diligence, and prepare materials for investment committees while engaging with management teams and lenders.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, energy investing, or related field.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Experience performing detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Exceptional academic record and professional achievement.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential investment opportunities through financial analysis, industry research, and market diligence.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses, and merger consequences analyses.
• Participate in due diligence processes alongside management teams, consultants, lenders, and legal advisors.
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and supporting analyses.
• Monitor existing portfolio companies and assist with value creation initiatives.
• Conduct industry research and identify emerging trends within infrastructure, energy, utilities, and related sectors.
• Support transaction execution, including negotiations, financing processes, and deal documentation.
• Interact regularly with management teams, advisors, and financing partners.
