Investment Associate – Private Equity Secondaries | New York

We are working with a leading private equity investment manager seeking an Investment Associate to join its secondaries team in New York.

This role offers exposure across the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating secondary opportunities to presenting recommendations and monitoring investments. The successful candidate will focus on private equity secondaries, including single-asset and LP portfolio transactions, with occasional involvement in primary fund investments and co-investments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sourcing and evaluating prospective secondary investments
• Building financial models and conducting quantitative analysis for investment due diligence
• Coordinating due diligence on single-asset opportunities and LP portfolios
• Preparing investment memos and presenting recommendations to the investment team
• Developing relationships across the secondary market to support deal sourcing
• Monitoring existing investments, including reviewing financial statements and attending GP updates and annual meetings
• Contributing to investment discussions, market reviews, and client service activities

We are looking for:

• At least two years of relevant experience in the private equity secondary fund industry
• Strong financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills
• A good understanding of the private equity landscape
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong academic performance and an undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively
