Job summary

AEW is offering a 12-month Analyst Trainee Program (ATP) starting Summer 2027 in the United States. The program provides hands-on experience across asset management, private equity, and real estate operations with mentorship and structured training.

Selected analysts will model cash flows, analyze markets, support budgets, and assist in acquisitions and dispositions while gaining exposure to multiple asset types and geographies under AEW’s guidance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with emphasis in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or policy & planning preferred.
• Prior internship or other real estate related experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
• Exposure to financial modeling with Excel and ARGUS as well as general quantitative skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports Asset Manager in Private Equity Group on assets through cash flow modeling, competitive analysis, research analysis and annual business plan/budgets.
• Work with team members on portfolio of assets across geographies and products.
• Assist in day-to-day oversight of property operations and coordination with third-party operators.
• Participate in portfolio and property business plans to optimize performance and valuations.
• Assist acquisitions, due diligence, and onboarding of new acquisitions.
• Perform asset-level valuation reviews and reporting packages for the portfolio.
• Develop relationships with JV partners, property managers, and project managers.
• Prepare loan/lease documents reviews and lease abstracts.
• Communicate investment status to senior management and monitor market information with AEW Research.
