Neuberger Private Markets in New York seeks a Japanese Private Markets Manager to serve on the Japan Coverage Team. Job Summary

Neuberger Private Markets is seeking a Japanese Private Markets Manager who will be based in New York and serve as a member of the Japan Coverage Team / Japan Desk.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage investment planning and portfolio construction for customized separate accounts programs with Japanese investors.
• Assist with the production and presentation of investment materials, and organize & coordinate onsite meetings for Japanese clients.
• Liaise with investment team members, legal, finance and the Japanese sales force in Tokyo to prepare responses to RFPs, respond to other prospect/client inquiries and deliver monitoring reports.
• Build a deep understanding of private investment strategies (Primary Fund Investments, Equity Co‑Investments, Secondaries, Private Credit and other Specialty Strategies) and act as a product specialist for the Japanese sales team.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience (e.g., investment banking, private equity marketing/accounting/reporting or placement agent).
• Proficiency in English and Japanese.
• Visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates; sponsorship decisions will be made in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $100,000–$150,000. This range is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The salary range applies only to jobs performed in the location stated in the posting.

This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary and retirement contributions, the comprehensive package includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance, and other benefits to eligible employees.
