New Home Star in Windermere, FL, seeks a private educator to be the primary teacher and mentor for two children, ages 7 and 8. The role blends in-home instruction with family life, guiding academics, emotions, routines, and travel.

You will plan engaging lessons, adapt to each child’s learning style, and collaborate with parents on goals, while providing a warm, calm presence during travel and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or closely related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience teaching, mentoring, or caring for elementary-aged children.
• Experience in private education, governess, or family-based setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily in-home instruction and mentorship for two children using the family’s homeschool program.
• Collaborate with parents on academic goals, routines, travel plans, and priorities; communicate progress and plans.
• Plan enrichment activities, field trips, and real-world projects to extend learning.
• Support neurodiverse learners with calm, consistent strategies and age-appropriate guidance.
• Maintain structure and warmth during travel, routine changes, and parental absences.
