Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Springfield, MO is hiring an immediate full-time Caregiver to provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in home settings. The position offers guaranteed hours and a consistent weekly pay, with shifts Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM and a one-hour unpaid lunch.

Caregivers assist with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and support higher-acuity clients with transfers, meals, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must be available 8 AM–4 PM every weekday.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 LBS and pass a background check.
• Willing to drive to multiple clients with 2–3 hour shifts.
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support clients with higher acuity needs including transfers and feeding assistance.
• Monitor changes in condition and report them.
• Light housekeeping, medication reminders, and running errands.

What we offer:

• $770 guaranteed weekly pay for 35 hours
• Mileage paid from client to client
• If a client cancels, you still get paid
• Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM
• One-hour unpaid lunch

What you need:

• Must be available 8 AM–4 PM every weekday
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to drive to multiple clients with 2–3 hour shifts
• Must track mileage between clients
• Dependable and compassionate

Important: Guaranteed hours are based on your availability and ability to work. Sick days and personal time off are unpaid.

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (Bathing, Dressing, Grooming)
• Provide Companionship and Emotional Support
• Support Clients with Higher Acuity Needs, Including:
  • Transfers (use of gait belts, Hoyer lifts, etc.)
  • Feeding Assistance & Meal Preparation
  • Monitoring and Reporting Changes in Condition
• Light Housekeeping
• Medication Reminders
• Running errands

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
• Ability to lift 50 LBS.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
