Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a skilled Private Duty Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for an adult client in the St.Peter/Mankato, MN area. You will deliver individualized nursing services in a home setting, following the client care plan and physician orders.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate, MN RN license, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Overnight, full or part-time hours are available, with a focus on compassionate care and family support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current MN RN license (or LPN where applicable).
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with vehicle and insurance as required by state/agency

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care per state Nurse Practice Act.
• Delivers care per physician orders and client care plan.
• Documents changes in orders in medical record following agency procedures.
• Provides personal and pediatric care including tracheostomy, ventilator support, and tube feedings as needed.
• Collaborates with care team and family to coordinate services.
• Maintains client safety and a safe work environment.
• Adheres to agency policies, procedures, and payor/accreditation standards.
• Participates in agency meetings and coordination of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

About the Role & Company:

First Day Homecare® is a leading homecare provider with locations across the US, specializing in pediatric and adult Private Duty Nursing services and other home and community-based care. We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurses (RN) to provide one-on-one care to an adult client in their home in the St.Peter/Mankato, MN area. As a Private Duty Nurse, you’ll deliver individualized nursing care in a home setting, helping medically fragile patients thrive in their daily lives while offering critical support to their families.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours:

• OVERNIGHTS, Full or Part-time hours available

Pay:

• RN: $37-$40

Responsibilities:

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

About You:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements
