Job summary

Centria Healthcare is hiring CNAs and HHAs to provide in-home support for an elderly client in Michigan. You will work one-on-one in a private home, assisting with ADLs, mobility, safety, and companionship.

The schedule is from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay range is $16-$18 per hour, with flexible scheduling and weekly pay. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid sick time, and EAP support.

Qualifications

• CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred.
• Experience with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired.
• Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks.
• Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs.
• Comfortable working in a private home setting.
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols.
• Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing.
• Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed.
• Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request.
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift.
• Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort.
• Document and report changes in client condition promptly.
• Respond to emergencies following proper procedures.
• Perform duties as outlined in the patient's plan of care.
• Monitor client's physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment.
• Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements.

Client

A pleasant woman with her ADLs and household tasks following arm injuries and anticipated surgery. Her daughter is highly involved in her care, and your attentive approach will be essential to ensuring her soft-spoken needs are fully addressed.

Clinical Needs

ADL assistance, 85-year-old female recovering from multiple injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, including fractures to her sternum, right hand, and right arm. Due to significant impairments in her activities of daily living and a high risk for falls, she requires 24-hour-a-day attendant care for safety and physical assistance. Her current treatment plan focuses on supervised rehabilitation, medication management for conditions like hypertension, and maintaining a safe, low-stimulation environment.

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

About the Role
