Job summary

Centria Healthcare is hiring CNAs and HHAs to provide compassionate in-home support for a medically complex client in Michigan. Care is one-on-one in a private home, following a detailed plan of care with a focus on safety and dignity.

Caregivers help with ADLs, mobility, and routine tasks, with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and weekly pay. Competitive pay ranges reflect experience and case needs, with benefits and ongoing training available.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) with in-home care experience.
• Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Able to document care activities using tablets/computers.
• Able to follow care plans and provide attentive, patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls.
• Provide basic personal care including hygiene, toileting, and dressing.
• Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed.
• Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request.
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance during shifts.
• Document and report changes in client condition promptly.
• Respond to emergencies following proper procedures.
• Follow the patient’s plan of care and care policies.

About The Client

• Client: A pleasant woman with her ADLs and household tasks following arm injuries and anticipated surgery. Her daughter is highly involved in her care, and your attentive approach will be essential to ensuring her soft-spoken needs are fully addressed.
• Clinical Needs: ADL assistance, 85-year-old female recovering from multiple injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, including fractures to her sternum, right hand, and right arm. Due to significant impairments in her activities of daily living and a high risk for falls, she requires 24-hour-a-day attendant care for safety and physical assistance. Her current treatment plan focuses on supervised rehabilitation, medication management for conditions like hypertension, and maintaining a safe, low-stimulation environment.
• Schedule: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

About the Role

Centria caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent. You’ll work one-on-one with clients in a private home setting, supporting their unique care needs.

Pay Range: $16–$18 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
• Document and report changes in client condition promptly
• Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
• Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
• Monitor client’s physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
• Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements

Qualifications

• CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
• Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
• Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
• Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
• Comfortable working in a private home setting
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
• Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise

Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Current CPR Certification

• Negative TB Test Results
• Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)
