Job summary

Urbana Country Club in Urbana, Illinois is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our dedicated team. You will patrol grounds and facilities, monitor CCTV and access points, respond to emergencies, and provide professional, safety-minded service to members and guests.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 4+ years in security/military or related fields, and the ability to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, or nights. Starting pay is $22.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 4+ years of experience in military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or corporate security.
• Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office applications.
• Clear understanding of public safety and security procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and obtain required licensing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct static security post/access control operations.
• Provide mobile security support as directed by security leadership.
• Respond to emergency situations (medical/fire/suspicious person).
• Execute roving patrols of assigned locations.
• Maintain professionalism and grooming standards.
• Operate security systems such as CCTV and access control/gates.
• Notify employees and others of threats or urgent situations.
• Provide customer service to members, guests, and leadership.
• Follow club procedures to protect people, property, and information.
