Job summary

Augusta Country Club in Augusta, GA is seeking a dependable Security Officer to protect members, guests, employees, facilities and assets. The role combines patrols, access control, emergency response, and courteous service in a private-club environment.

You will conduct routine patrols, verify entries, log activity, operate surveillance equipment, respond to alarms and incidents, and support management with accurate reporting while maintaining a professional presence and guarding confidential

Qualifications

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing, to provide assistance, follow emergency instructions, and prepare reports.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn surveillance, access-control, and incident-reporting systems.
• Dependability, professional appearance, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, remain attentive, exercise sound judgment within established procedures, and promptly request assistance when needed.
• Availability to work assigned day shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas to identify security concerns.
• Perform access-control duties, verify authorization for entry, maintain logs, and assist with traffic and parking procedures.
• Open and secure assigned facilities and gates and ensure doors are locked when required.
• Maintain accountability for keys and access devices and report discrepancies to management.
• Operate surveillance equipment and report equipment failures.
• Respond to alarms, medical incidents, fires, disturbances, and severe weather per club procedures.
• Document incidents and assist investigations with timely reporting.
• Escalate urgent hazards via established notification chain to GM and management.
• Provide courteous, professional assistance to members, guests, and employees and de-escalate situations.
