Old Waverly Club in West Point, Mississippi seeks an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance and agronomic operations for one of its two 18‑hole courses, Old Waverly or Mossy Oak. This hands‑on leadership role requires someone who communicates clearly, manages staff effectively, and ensures top‑quality playing conditions for a premier private golf destination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in turfgrass management or related field preferred.
• Strong turfgrass knowledge and playability focus.
• Proven leadership and communication skills for a private club setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily maintenance and agronomic operations of the assigned golf course.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities to achieve playing-condition standards.
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop golf course maintenance staff.
• Manage irrigation and water management using the Toro Osmac system.
• Oversee fertilizer, pesticide, and other agronomic applications per regulations.
• Maintain records on weather, applications, inventory, and course operations.
