Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

Serves as a trusted adviser to the Partner, developing mutually beneficial relationships aligned with HPE's business priorities. Drives revenue, profitability, and pipeline through joint business plans and data-driven sales efforts. Articulates HPE global and local strategies to effectively "sell with," "sell to," and "sell through" the Partner, creating a scalable selling ecosystem. Develops knowledge of Partner priorities, industry trends, IT landscape, IT investment strategy, HPE priorities, and HPE Technology to differentiate HPE from competitors. Coordinates and executes HPE activities with the Partner, leveraging HPE specialists when needed. Aligns field sales to increase value to HPE for pipeline and revenue/profit growth while leveraging the partner ecosystem. Leads HPE strategies, programs, and systems with and on behalf of the Partner to ensure accelerated financial outcomes and build partner loyalty. These jobs focus on selling to customers through the Partner, often outside HPE offices.

Location and Travel:

Open to locations on the East Coast US. Role is remote but requires approximately 50% travel. This role does not offer relocation or sponsorship at this time.

Management Level Definition:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues. Contributes to new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems requiring in-depth analysis. Leads or provides expertise to project teams and cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an organization representative to external customers. Exercises significant independent judgment. May mentor lower-level employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the expert for the partner on product, services, and software transitions, promotions, and configurations.
  • Promote company offerings to become integral to the partner’s business and solutions; may be involved in selling to end-customers.
  • Establish and maintain account plans to promote sales growth.
  • Achieve assigned quotas for products, services, and software.
  • Engage in transactional and relationship selling, including visiting partner customers.
  • Manage the company funnel for deals with partners and convert leads into joint sales activities.
  • Engage company resources and senior executives to build strategic relationships ensuring long-term business opportunities.
  • Provide business rationale and risk assessment for investments in the partner.
  • Ensure partner compliance with legal and SBC practices.
  • Potentially drive SOW growth with distributors managing small partners.
  • Recruit and develop new business partners.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Typically 8-12 years of sales experience at end-user or partner level.
  • Experience selling in complex environments to partners.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Deep understanding of the IT industry, competitors, and channel strategies.
  • Understanding of company's organization, operations, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Knowledge of company's products, software, and services, with ability to differentiate and address objections.
  • Effective in building strategic relationships and aligning partner and company processes.
  • Ability to develop strategic growth plans with partners.
  • Coordinate efforts across sales teams and business groups.
  • Motivate partner sales forces and manage pipeline discipline.
